Description:

This was an exciting find! I've always wanted to find an Ambush Bug. This one is 1 cm long, marbled brown with a green scutellum and green legs. Family Phymatidae.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery half way down a deep canyon along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.
