Field Notes

Description:

Black caterpillar with yellow stripes going lengthwise along the body and white & black stripes going sideways along body.

Habitat:

Found on parsley planted in our school's garden in Northern VA.

Notes:

My coworker and her class will observe this caterpillar and then will release it into the wild once it turns into a butterfly.
