Description:

Only North American marsupial, these amazing creatures are nocturnal and notorious scavengers. Though they can look fierce, they often run from trouble and are not overly aggressive.

Habitat:

Commonly found in suburban habitats and along highways, though they are not usually playing possum : (

Notes:

Amazing animals that is different from any other North American mammal. They are marsupials, (same family as kangaroos and koalas) Young are born then journey to the pouch found on the mothers abdomen. They remain here until developed enough to climb on her back and enjoy the ride.

This is an Opossum not a Possum, they are two very different animals. Cute little guy though :-)
