Field Notes

Description:

Wilted off-white mushroom with brown mottling and prominent annulus. 12 cm long from base of stem to top of unopened cap. Cap is 3 cm from base to top, and has 35 mm maximum diameter. Gills are light gray.

Habitat:

Suburban neighborhood on tropical upland plateau.

Notes:

Spotted collapsed in grassy area; see first image. Broke open cap to get second and third images. Possibly Chlorophyllum molybdites.
