Leopard Moth
Pantherodes pardalaria
-21.7333, -46.9746
Field Notes
Description:
I found this specimen in a tree in the courtyard of a school where I teach. It was "groping" the trunk with its snout.
Habitat:
The region that I found it is a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.
Notes:
-I'm not really sure if "snout" is the right English word for that part of the Moth-
