Description:

Tree-rot fungus that causes white-rot.
Grows in a bracket or shelf-like pattern, fused with other caps.

Notes:

Image searching turns up many pictures with a dark cap and light underside. However, Mushroom expert (see additional link in references) says it has a contrasting dark pore surface with a light colored cap surface. This likely could be a different Polyporale fungus.
