Only the males have the ruby throat, check out some photos of the females and I am sure you will agree.
There are dozens of the birds and none have the ruby throat.
Geographically it seems right.
Why do you think it is not a ruby-throat? In my experience Liam is rarely, if ever, wrong about birds.
Yes it is a hummer. Not sure of the species. Some suggest Ruby-throated, however, none have the colors of that species.
Lovely spotting ! a hummingbird I think. Would it be possible for you to find out if it has a special name ?
