Black Kingsnake

If you look at the link I provided, you will see the amount of subspecies this species has, and they are all very different looking from each other. You are in the integrade zone between the black kingsnake and the speckled kingsnake, meaning it has characteristics of both. So to confuse you less, easiest just to leave it at species level :) And this is also a quite young one, probably a baby from this year! If you read on the link, it says they can get upwards of 6 ft, although most will never reach this size. Completely harmless though, and very pretty snakes :)
