Field Notes

Description:

It's about 3 cm and has black spots on the wings. I found it on the house's wall this morning.
The wingspan is 35–42 mm. The moths are on wing from August to September depending on the location.
The larvae feed on various grasses and Taraxacum officinale and other low growing plants.

Habitat:

It is found in Southern Europe and Western North Africa

Valentine I agree it is an Arctiidae but I am not sure which one... I will keep looking it is truly a beauty.
Thanks for the suggestion Tbrett! But looking at the pictures, it seems to me that the shape of the spots on the wings are different. Also the one I photographed has two light stripes on the "fur" .. I don't think they're the same moth, what do you think?
