Field Notes

Description:

Juveniles have a dark body with five white to yellow stripes on back & a bright blue tail. Similar species is the Broadhead Skink which has no large postlabial scales. The five lined has two enlarged postlabial scales.

Awesome, Josh! I have yet to find a Broadhead skink, and I still haven't seen an adult male five-lined. One day, though :)
Sorry for my mistake then! I did not know that either, I was just going by coloration.
Those two species are definately difficult to distinguish from one another! This skink had the two enlarged postlabial scales that the Broadhead does not. I only learned that because the person I was with is a herpetologist lol! I do appreciate the help Conor!
I think this is actually a Male Broadhead Skink. I'll leave my suggestion with the scientific name.
