Field Notes

Description:

Basidiome Up to 25 cm. Sporesack ovoid rounded, peridium with pores. Ferroginous gleba with warty spores and presence of elaters. Woodish stalk with volva.

Habitat:

Arid and semiarid zones.

Notes:

May be the same species tha Battarrea, or perhaps different species from the same genus. Only difference is size and the dehiscence .
