Good news :) I forgot to mention that he is very pretty! Very cool find!
It is venomous but as far as I know no bites to humans have ever been recorded.
Oh, you found the ID :) Great! Is is poisonous?
I have seen plenty of photo's with dragonflies and damselflies infested with mites. So yes it is common. I think you can upload your spotting.
Hi Tina Always good :)). In my search for butterflies I do walk into these guys now and again. Usually they disappear quickly but today I had an opportunity to take a photo. Thanks for the missions.
Oh, and since you know dragon and damlelflies, how common is it that they have red mites? Is it worth uploading a mite spotting here you think? (found them on two different damselflies)
Hello Fanie! I hope you are good :)) Well, since you like to find butterflies and other insects, I think it is very clever to learn about the snakes that you might step on :P I have some missions for you, http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/22736189 and perhaps even http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8082568 Grat find, I am also interested in the ID :)
