Field Notes

Description:

This bird is a domesticated breed of the Rock Pigeon, as told by the rings on its legs. Over thousands of years Rock Pigeons have been domesticated and occasionally been interbred with other Pigeons or Doves, especially Stock Doves. In more recent times, over 1-200 years these have been selectively bred for carrying mail or messages, for racing or for showing. Escaped examples form large feral flocks throughout the world.

Habitat:

Coast by marshes.

Notes:

This one's home is on a nearby roof.
