Field Notes

Description:

Small apricot coloured fungus-looking-like plants erupting from the forest floor. A mycoheterotroph which depends on fungus to break down forest debris that it can live on.

Habitat:

Conifer forest in transition area between coast and inland forests.

Notes:

Found beside the trail in Rhododendron Flats on Hwy 3 towards Manning Park.
