Field Notes

Description:

A leaf beetle with unusual brown patches on its back. The genus us common but this pattern (species) was seen only once.

Habitat:

Feasting on a young eucalyptus sapling.

DHobern calls this Chrysophtharta sp. but this genus has now been incorporated into the expanded Paropsisterna which contains about 100 species so far.
