Description:

Elytra with a large, irregular triangle behind the middle, running from the outer margin to near the suture; and a small one near the apex. Species name triangulifer - Latin for 'triangle-bearer' (information from BugGuide)

Habitat:

City park

Notes:

This beetle emerged from a long that had been placed in a zoo exhibit. The wood had been gathered from an area on zoo grounds.
