Description:

The cosmopolitan bee genus Ceratina Latreille, 1802, often referred to as Small Carpenter Bees, is the sole lineage of the tribe Ceratinini, and closely related to the more familiar carpenter bees, the Xylocopa species.

With club-shaped abdomen, Ceratinidia species are medium-sized to small bees with shiny black bodies maculated with striking yellow patterns.

Habitat:

Backyard adjacent to an open space.
