Field Notes

Description:

This brown Skipper is about the same size as a previously spotted Skipper (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/37813252/fullscreen), but the banding is very faint. I am not sure if it is the opposite sex or a different species. Both occur together in the same place. The third picture is of a different individual photographed on 20 August 2013 in the same place.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.
