Field Notes

Description:

Large, robust brown Skipper with yellow spots, no tails. It likes shade but was also puddling in the gravel along the highway.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.

I meant this species looks suspiciously close, not that our spotting were similar pictures. Just thought I should clarify.
