Field Notes

Description:

Dark black/green in colour. Quite large in size.

Notes:

Although it look very similar to the Acacia leaf beetle it seems to dark in colour. Possibly Paropsisterna sp. http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_leafbeetles/ShinyDarkBrown.htm
Although mine has dimples on the elytron which also points to the Acacia leaf beetle...

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

A very round and nuggetty little beetle. So many to consider. The Paropsisterna genus are mostly very shiny but the Paropsis genus are mostly pitted elytra from memory.
