Field Notes

Description:

A trailing vine, looking just like your garden-variety morning glory, but the leaves were thicker and more leathery. Flowers were a delightful raspberry-pink with violet stripes.

Habitat:

Dunes along Ormond Beach.

Notes:

I liked how it always stretched perpendicular to the shoreline, as if attempting to run all the way to the sea.
