Field Notes

Description:

Gray grasshopper with two white spots on the hind femurs. There is a dark stripe along the side of the thorax and head, extending through the eye. The antennae are orange.

Habitat:

White Sage in chaparral. This species has a small range of western California south from about Monterey County. Most likely extends into Mexico.
