Description:

From Wikipedia (translated into English): The soldier-grasshopper or just brasileirinho (Chromacris speciosa) is a grasshopper of wide distribution in Brazil. The adults of these insects are colored green and yellow, and the nymphs are black with red. They are also known by the names flag-grasshopper and little soldier.

Notes:

I wrote a bit more (some personal observations) about them recently in my blog. http://lifeinlog.org/log/the-little-soldier/
