Black-and Yellow Argiope (egg sack)

Female places eggs in large (1") round sac at the edge of web; eggs hatch in fall and overwinter in sac. Young will leave web in spring. The egg sack is usually placed among leaves or other vegetation, sometimes large and suspended like fruit.
