Description:

Juicy and edible tropical raspberries! Also known as the tropical red raspberry, rose leaf raspberry and the West Indian raspberry. Somewhat shade intolerant, prefers sunlight.

Habitat:

Introduced to HI (invasive). Spotted in a state park.

Notes:

Adam, yes, there are thorns on the stem. I wasn't sure of my ID. Since there are so many invasives on the island, I suspect this is not 'Ākala, but let me know what you think.

Looks very similar to 'Ākala, Hawaiian raspberry. Are there thorns on the stems of the plant?
