Description:

Brown to cinnamon colored, gelatinous fruit bodies with folds and wrinkles.

Auricularia angiospermarum is a species of jelly fungi in the family Auriculariaceae. It was once thought that the North American species
of wood ear was Auricularia auricula-judae, but recent research has shown that it is not endemic to North America.

Habitat:

Found growing on a dead hardwood branch in a dense mixed hardwood forest.
