Field Notes

Description:

A high climbing vine of moist forest with striking pink 3 inch diameter blossoms and elongated yellow fruits somewhat like small bananas.

Habitat:

I found a forest full of these pending flowers close to Manua Kea, approx 2000 meter altitude.

Notes:

Birds just love these flowers. We did birdwatching in a park full of these plants and was amazing.
