Description:

I think is a juvenile by the plumage. It was looking for food in amongst the rocks on this fast running stretch of river

Habitat:

Fast running stretch of the river Dart

Notes:

"When perched on a rock it habitually bobs up and down and frequently cocks its tail. Its white throat and breast contrasts with its dark body plumage." - RSPB ... hence the name Dipper
