Field Notes

Description:

An elegant pale yellow moth about 12 mm long. Wing margins were fringed. Shoulders and the costal margins were brown. Labial palps were recurved.

Habitat:

Spotted near suburban gardens

Notes:

Caterpillars are said to feed concealed in rolled leaves. They feed on fungi, decaying fungi or decomposing animals.
