Description:

Fledgling robin with very short tail, flightless.

Habitat:

Suburban yard in the Tennessee River Valley of north Alabama. Wooded areas nearby, with a small creek.

Notes:

This is one of four chicks from a nest constructed in a rosebush outside a home. The parents are present, feeding the chicks.
