Field Notes

Description:

Rarely observed perched (and photographed), the Sapphire-rumped Parrotlet (Touit purpuratus, Apuim-de-costas-azuis) is a tiny canopy dwelling parrot of the Amazon rainforest. A pair taped in close provided one of many highlights last week in Manaus!
