Description:

Danielle Isolano 9/20/13 3:00 p.m. I spotted this Pomegranate tree growing in the Colonial Williamsburg area. A pomegranate is a smaller sized tree and it's fruit is considered a berry. The pomegranate tree typically contains fruit during the months of September through February. It's fruit is used in many different foods and drinks for a sweet and tangy taste.

Habitat:

The Pomegranate tree's original homeland is Persia. It can also be found in a wide variety of places, such as Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America and California. Pomegranate trees are able to survive in very dry climates.
