Field Notes

Description:

<1cm body length, juvenile, brown hatch marks on abdomen, different individual with more orange body color and less white on abdomen

Habitat:

grass meadow knee high, first individual on grass leaf plant; second individual on broadleaf surface

Notes:

These tiny wolf spiders are all over on many different leaf surfaces. They are seen in sunny areas on the tops of leaves and do not startle easily. A web nest was found in raspberry leaves nearby with smaller individuals.
