This is the fruit of datura. It is famous in many parts of the world, because, this fruit is used as poison for suicide and murder. Especially because, the seeds contain highly toxic tropane alkaloids like scopolamine, hyoscyamine, and atropine.

Thank you Jemma. I totally agree with you, its amazing how bad things come in beautiful packing. When I spotted this Datura flower http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/22776256 in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, I thought " Hey it's a pretty flower",only later, did I learnt about it's poisonous nature.
