Field Notes

Description:

Longer dark beak than the social flycatcher.
More rufous in the upper part feathers but also yellow in the chest and below.
Similarly crowned with a black cap and white and black bands on its head.

Habitat:

Near Arenal Volcano.

Notes:

Again, temptative ID, based on what I find most similarity with.

Thanks, Atul! They are cute but I have trouble distinguishing all the similar flycatchers there in Costa Rica..I hope I have ID them Ok ;-)
