Getting into insects a little ... not the best photo, I'm afraid, but is this a kind of soldier bug or shield bug?

Oh, now ... y'all are just being nice because a "plant person" took a photo of an insect. Stop the presses, right? I'll say this, though ... it didn't take long to learn that the best way to take photos of insects is to hang out around the plants they like. Chasing them just doesn't work!
