Habitat:
Suburban parks, shrubs, wooded areas and disturbed fields often near canals or water.
Notes:
These guys are very fast. My best pics in the past have been by zooming from far away. This morning, however, caught one up close sunning itself; I guess it was still too cool to make a quick escape. I love the scales detail and the eye.
Note: in photo #3 the large hind foot/claws at the top left corner of pic.
