Description:

This is a species of dragonfly that I have shared before on Project Noah, http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/263176004

Arrowhead Spiketail Dragonflies are one of the more common species of dragonflies in Michigan and can actually be found throughout the entire state. They are very skittish and will fly long distances or great heights to get away if they feel threatened. They never perch on anything near the ground for more than a couple of minutes and like most dragonfly species they will return to the same perching spot over and over again.
