Field Notes

Description:

Small (1/4 inch) widow-like spider with large, mottled brown and tan globular abdomen. This specimen is most likely a female, based upon the tapering pedipalps.

Habitat:

Found in neighbor's garden.

Notes:

One of my neighbor's sons brought this great specimen over to my house and we photographed her on my tomato plants (with one photo taken on kitchen table). We returned her to the wild when all done!
