Description:

Here we have two mating wasps and then there is a mysterious tiny bug that's hanging on one of the wasps. I would have guessed it's a thick but can't see any special mouth parts and it more resembles a crab or a scorpion. Would be nice to get some info about that hanging tiny parasitic bug.

Habitat:

Backyard

Species ID Suggestions

Dung midge

Scatopsidae

Wow thanks a lot, John La Salle! Your knowledge is amazing thanks for sharing all these information. I had not seen that little bug before so now I will read about it. Looks amazing to have such tiny scorpion like bug around and we don't know it exists due to its size.
Not wasps but a mating pair of flies - not sure what type The other little bug in the picture is a pseudoscorpion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoscorpion
