Banded White Ringlet

Pareuptychia ocirrhoe, the Two-banded Satyr or Banded White Ringlet, is a species of butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found from Mexico to the Guyanas, Paraguay and northern Argentina. They are inhabitants of the forest understorey and tend to fly close to the ground. They generally avoid sunlight and prefer to fly at dawn or on cloudy days when light levels and temperatures are low. The wingspan is about 37 mm.
