Field Notes

Description:

A long-legged slender pale jade green spider with dark spikes on legs and cream and red patterns along the midline of the adomen on the dorsal side. Palps were slender. Body length about 9 mm.

Habitat:

Spotted on Eucalyptus tree - Ironbark

Notes:

Could not get close enough of details. From description of the species, this one could be female.

Sorry Martin-missed your comment. I agree, the males do look like they've got boxing gloves on -would be great to see one. I was amazed at the white linear marking on the back, it seemed to glow !
Yes, it's certainly female. Don't the males look comical with their 'clubbed fists?'
