Description:

A common, venomous snake found throughout the southern portion of the L48. Differentiated from similar non-venomous snakes (e.g. watersnakes) by the eye (not visible in these photos) and angular head shape.
Also known as the Water Moccasin.

Habitat:

Wetlands

Nearly in molt
