Field Notes

Description:

About 28mm long. Shape and posture is like a Cossidae but this one is very fluffy and the patterns are very different .

Habitat:

Attracted to strong lights at the local school which is surrounded by dry eucalyptus forest.

Notes:

This species feeds on Silver Princess (Eucalyptus caesia) which is planted extensively across the front of the school and within a metre of this specimen.
