Description:

UAC. Start: 11.45am, End: 1pm (approx.). Wood County, West Virginia.

Habitat:

under a pile of boards at a roadside

Notes:

I think it was sleeping. I woke it by nudging its tail with a stick. It struck for the stick and missed twice then slithered into tall grasses and weeds nearby.
