Description:
Grown as a street tree in tropical and sub-tropical parts of the world. And for some whimsical reason, around the courthouse in my small Southern town ... these and also Golden rain trees, same genus. Much rustling underfoot downtown when the pods fall, blow, skitter through the streets.
Notes:
Native to Asia, especially China. Golden panicles of flowers in the spring, very similar to Golden rain tree.
