great sugestion! I think It might be a chinese oak silkmoth (Antheraea pernyi), the pattern seems pretty close. Although it's not sitting on an oak tree but then again they might eat different plants.

It looks like a Tussar Silk Moth Caterpillar, but I'm out of my range here -- might be a good place to start your search of an ID though!
