Field Notes

Description:

A stacked row of tiny yellow capsules, each about 2 mm long on a gum leaf. The mother leaf beetle was seen munching on a neighbouring leaf.

Habitat:

Eucalyptus tree - suburban area.

Notes:

The eggs of Paropsisterna leaf beetle are laid differently to the other common Chrysomelid beetle species Paropsis, which lays them around the stem in rings as in this spotting:
