Thanks for the info everyone!
The one I found was most likely a lygus pratensis. But I have not managed to find any records of that one in Canada. Here is one example from Europe: http://www.flickr.com/photos/overton_cat/872685262/in/photostream/ Yours could be a Lygus hesperus...
I found a very similar bug in Sweden yeaterday. Unf the pictures are too blurry... But that heart-shape on the back and the coloration was identic! Fantastic!
Miridae, Mirinae, Mirini, Lygus sp.. Quite a complex and tricky genus. Unfortunately I am quite busy, so, please, check the bugguide site yourself, maybe you find something matching. Important is the shape and color of the head! http://bugguide.net/node/view/7061/bgpage
