Description:

black and white salticid, very long white hairs on abdominal fringe and cephalothorax; There are 4 pairs of darker blotches on the dorsal abdomen, maybe this is a melanistic version of the most common species in the meadow, the "8-spot" salticid

Habitat:

in grass and goldenrod field near central stalk
Stamford, Connecticut, USA

Notes:

actively jumping among grass blades and along goldenrod stalks
